Beware the poisoned apple…

Proof that fruit is bad for you, no matter how nice it looks, courtesy of The Brothers Grimm:

“Now the apple had been so artfully made that only the red half was poisoned. Snow-White longed for the beautiful apple, and when she saw that the peasant woman was eating part of it she could no longer resist, and she stuck her hand out and took the poisoned half. She barely had a bite in her mouth when she fell to the ground dead.”

Shockingly, it’s been over a year since I last updated my blog or my photography blog. I’m ashamed of myself and my laxity but I think it’s time to rectify that.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and also my favourite. I just love autumn and winter; I love the colours, I love the weather and I love the general feeling of excitement around Hallowe’en, Bonfire Night and, of course, Christmas. Dog walking in a frosty park is a joy for both the dog and me. Yesterday was a gloriously crisp, white morning and Martha and I had a good game of chase in the low morning sun, when I managed to photograph her waiting for me to throw her ball. Here is Martha, intent on play.
